Class Related Response Blog

Today was an interesting day in english class. We looked at a couple of articles that caught my attention, They were all about reality shows, and all the stuff that goes into making them.

Did you know that they record about 616 hours of footage for just one episode? When i found that out, i couldn't even believe that they would even need that much footage for ONE episode. As i kept reading i found out that they record this much footage so that they can twist things around and create a certain plot line that they want. They called themselves the masters of manipulation, meaning that they could rearrange the footage or alter it, so that the viewers would find it even more interesting.

They also spoke about people wanting to become Reality show stars, but not really knowing what they have to go through. They asked questions like ''Are you ok with having your privacy invaded?''. I mean let's be honest if you're going to be in a reality show then you have to be willing to have the camera crew follow you EVERY WHERE. You don't really get any time to yourself, since you always have a camera in your face.

This just goes to show you that you can't trust anything the media puts out there. They twist things around to make things seem the way that they want them to seem. Maybe if they gave us the truth instead of all of these lies...Our society wouldn't be the way it is today.
